Massachusetts car accident injures two in turnpike turnover

A car accident can be an unavoidable event at times. Too often, though, victims and their families suffer because of the carelessness of other drivers. With cell phones and social media playing such a roll in the lives of today’s drivers, distractions are a common occurrence. A recent single vehicle car accident in Massachusetts sent two occupants to the hospital.

The vehicle was reported to have rolled multiple times. The male driver was taken to the hospital with what appeared at the time of the accident to be serious, but non-life threatening injuries. The female passenger was also transported to a hospital for unknown injuries. Both appeared to have been wearing their seat belts.

The crash is still under investigation and charges will be determined based on the outcome of the investigation. The passenger of the vehicle may also have the right to file a civil suit to make a claim for reimbursement of any medical bills, pain and suffering, and additional hardships such as lost wages. This type of civil legal claim would be based upon evidence that the driver negligently caused the car accident and injuries that resulted.

A car accident can be a devastating event when injuries are involved. Oftentimes a victim can be forced to miss work causing them to lose wages. It can also be hard on families if someone must act as the caregiver for the injured. Massachusetts residents that have suffered as a result of injuries received in a car accident might be best served to look into their rights under the state law to determine the best way to proceed with a case.
